Win a Limited Edition “Preparing the Manger” Advent Calendar Collection!

Several years ago when Lifely Designs was first conceived, Lauren A. Rupar (of Lauren A. Rupar Photography) and I decided we needed an Advent Calendar that covered the whole of Advent, not just 24 days in December.

After many hours of writing and editing, fighting with printers and searching for just the right stickers and packaging, we eventually created “Preparing the Manger.” This Advent Calendar Collection includes a small poster, reusable “stained glass” counter stickers, and a book of scripture based reflections geared to children.

The project resulted in a limited edition run. A couple copies have resurfaced, and I thought they would make great prizes for a giveaway!

Win your copy by entering in the Rafflecopter giveaway below. The giveaway will run through Sunday—the First Sunday of Advent—and it should be in the mail the next day. Though it will be received a few days into Advent, you and your little one(s) will have plenty of time to catch up.

You can earn your first entry here by commenting on this post. Help me make my ADVENT music playlist by sharing your favorite Advent song. Please include artist if you can!

Earn additional entries by visiting my Facebook pages and/or placing an order.

Good Luck! And have a Blessed Advent!

Some year I’ll re-issue it. It was crazy how tricky (which translated into demanding of energy) it was to get the end product.

My favorite has always beeen People Look East. I have many memories of singing it as a child and hope I can instill in my kids (two girls, so far 😉) an equal love for it.

I love that it immediately got stuck in my head! 😁

How cool that you made an Advent Calendar, I have many advent songs, but probably my favorite is O Holy Night.

I think it is so cool that you made a calendar that’s oriented towards Advent, and not just December!!! Absolutely brilliant. For Advent music, as cliche as it is, I like “O Come O Come Emmanuel,” but especially when sung by these Benedictine sisters who made the album “Advent at Ephesus” (it’s on Spotify). It’s absolutely beautiful!

torch bearing quietly

I will not act out, will not
yell or curse or slam doors,
will not make a scene -- you
do not deserve such a chance
to make an example out of me
to be proven right since you
are not. Instead, I'll stand
at this street corner, raise
my hand high and clench that
light which yet remains. It
will burn brightly, quietly,
fiercely before fading as I.

Then I'll be gone but found.
