Flashback: I tried. Really, I did.

A year ago today… I would just like to say, I tried. Really, I did.

Worth Sharing: There is no Advent Police

When our fourth child was stillborn in early December nearly five years ago, I could not have anticipated how much I would learn from him. But John Blaise has indeed taught me. And probably one of the greatest lessons has been in learning my limits. Particularly, with the undercurrent of grief December can hold for […]

Capture Your Grief Day 16: Seasons

torch bearing quietly

I will not act out, will not
yell or curse or slam doors,
will not make a scene -- you

at this street corner, raise
my hand high and clench that
light which yet remains. It
will burn brightly, quietly,
fiercely before fading as I.

Then I'll be gone but found.
