Capture Your Grief Day 9: Music

Capture your grief day 9 - Music

The soundtrack of my daily life has had a contemporary Christian spin lately. Mostly, though there aren’t any specific songs that bring John Blaise & Alexander to my mind.

Rather, the music that has been making me think of my tiny boys is more… organic.

In memory of Alexander, friends from church gave our family a beautiful engraved wind chime. The tone is so rich and lovely. And with the windy fall days we have been having lately, it has been singing to me often.

    I love (life) you, Julie.
I should be preparing to sleep, but I would like to share, too.
I am so glad that I have songs that remind me of two of my nephews. Specifically, when I hear “Swim” by Jack’s Mannequin, I think of John Blaise; Audrey Assad’s “Everything is Yours” reminds me of Alexander.
