I knew this system was messed up, but not how much. The part that really caught me was the breastmilk bit, and then the corresponding “who works in these factories full of toxins”…
That makes me feel even better about my planned job change — I’ll be working from home & driving less. 🙂
We have 5% of the population using 35% of the resources on the planet. I am mortified.
This is really appropriate for Matt & I right now. We just moved from 3 spaces (1400 sf house, 10×14 storage unit & 2 br’s worth) into a 576 sf apartment. What did we do with our stuff that was in all of those spaces? Boxes were recycled or left in the truck to be reused & items we were never going to use again were dropped at the Goodwill or given away to family/friends. There were also some large furniture pieces in great shape but not our style we are selling on craigslist. Matt sold his car because we only have 1 parking space and is now taking public transportation. I only drive about 3 times per week for work and do a lot from home now. We are on the 3rd floor so heat needs are lesened because it rises nicely to our space without turning it up. That is just a snippet of what we’ve done by moving to a smaller space. Thanks so much for sharing this, I will pass it on to others as a great reminder for whay we need to get it together!
